THE organiser of the Mid Devon Show has paid tribute to the small army of volunteers who helped put on the 33rd edition of the event.

“It's an effort by 250 volunteers and I just knit everything together at the end of it,” Colin Nation said.

“They've been working relentlessly over the nine months and the last three, four weeks in the heat conditions has been amazing.

“Today we've got good turnout, we've been lucky with the weather. It's been a really good show.”

The Mid Devon Show is run by The Mid Devon Town and Country Show Society, whose chairman is Angus Cottey.

The one-day event has been held annually since 1993, except for 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
