A NEW South African grocery store on Crediton High Street is seeking a licence to sell alcohol.
Tonya Marye Lord has applied for a licence for “The Lekker Saffa” to supply alcoholic drinks to be consumed off the premises between 9.30am and 7pm seven days a week.
A family-run business, the shop will be selling South African products such as spices, fizzy drinks, biltong (dried meat), crisps, traditional cakes and sweets, and wants to offer wine, cider and beer.
Members of the public have until Friday, December 12 to share their views by making a representation in writing to: The Licensing Team, Mid Devon District Council, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP.
