DONATIONS from shoppers and profits from a tombola helped staff at Crediton’s Morrisons store in Mill Street raise more than £600 in aid of Morrisons chosen charity for the year, Sue Ryder.

There was a disco dome for children to play in and a Crediton fire engine attended for people to look at.

Staff also took part in the Morrisons “Reach the Moon” challenge, a cycle challenge involving staff from other stores, where they cycled the equivalent of the distance to the moon.

Hazel Evely, the store’s community champion, said she would like to thank all those who helped in any way, as well as all the shoppers who made donations.
