THANKS to the work of the Crediton fire station team, a whole lot of very clean cars were coming out of the fire station on Charlotte Street on Saturday morning (March 23).

More than 50 cars had gone through the station’s car wash, raising funds for the Fire Fighter’s charity.

This is the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance the quality of life for serving and retired fire fighters - whether injured, ill or in need of psychological support.

This used to be the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund. It helps thousands of serving and retired fire personnel and their families.

Each year Crediton’s fire team hold two car wash sessions at their fire station.

New recruits would be welcome, male or female. Anyone interested in finding out more should contact the Station Watch Manager Neil Hargreaves on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm at the fire station.
