THREE local charities have been chosen by Co-op to benefit financially when members use their Co-op cards in the Crediton store.

The three charities are: Kelly Trust, initiated with a legacy from the estate of the late Alan Kelly and administered by the Church governors.

Crediton & District Access Group For Disabled People, a charity that promotes awareness and improves access to public facilities for all.

Crediton And District Playscheme Association for Children with Special Needs, a charity which provides holiday playschemes for disabled children aged from five to 16 years of age.

Every time customers with a new card choose Co-op branded products and services they will earn five per cent and one per cent will go to the chosen charity.

Customers who become members and register their cards will be asked to nominate one of the above charities before March 2017.

Anyone who has an existing co-op card should be contacted in due course.
