THE work of a Lapford artist is currently on display at Chiddenbrook Surgery in Crediton until the end of March.

Rebecca Holley BA (Hons), from her own designs, creates vibrant hooked rugs using reclaimed materials and these adorn the walls at the surgery.

Rebecca explained: “The designs are drawn onto a hessian background and strips of fabric are hooked through.

“The result is a colourful, textured surface closely resembling the original design.

“Each one is a unique piece of artwork, which can be hung or used as a floor covering.”

Rebecca said her collection of work is based on the Endrocrine System with Red Master being the Pituitary Gland, the smallest but also the one that controls the others, hence the Endrocrine System with Red Master being the latest piece of work on display and the title of the exhibition.

All the work on display is for sale and those who wish to view the exhibition during normal hours are advised that the surgery closes from 12.45pm to 1.45pm, daily.
