I AM writing as a resident of Crediton High Street in response to John Craythorne’s comments about the proposed Park House at Newcombe’s Park.

Let me be clear: the parking situation on the High Street is already an absolute nightmare.

Every single day, residents are forced to fight for spaces, circle endlessly, and often end up parking streets away from our own homes.

There are already far more resident cars than there are spaces — the system is stretched beyond breaking point.

The idea of adding a Park House will not solve this problem — it will make it worse.

More cars, more demand, more chaos.

What frustrates me most is that residents’ voices are constantly ignored in these debates.

Those of us who actually live here are the ones who will suffer, yet our experience seems to count for nothing.

We need solutions that put residents first, not schemes that make an already dire situation intolerable. Ben Williams High Street
