FOLLOWING the closure of schools on Friday, March 20, Crediton’s Landscore Primary School has launched its "virtual school".
Based on its website, the teams upload worksheets and tasks for their pupils daily, and there is also a daily challenge introduced to the pupils through a video update.
On Wednesday, March 25, Mr Seller set the pupils a cooking challenge.
Filming in his kitchen, he took his chocolate chip cookies out of the oven and asked the pupils to have-a-go at cooking, and then send him photos of their bakes as well as sharing their recipes.
The following day, Mr Seller, shared a few of the recipes as well as one for Alethea’s Banana Bread and the Laird Family’s Biscuits, and also photos of pupils making their creations.
These included the Miller family making a Rhubarb and Almond cake, Jago and Isla making Vegan Banana Bread and Miss Maddison making Chilli.
On Thursday, Mrs Main recorded a video setting the challenge of completing a "Spring Scavenger Hunt" in the garden or on the daily exercise walk.
Among other things, the children enjoyed looking for ladybirds, listening for birdsong, finding ants, spotting a bird’s nest and smelling a flower.
Team Three have sung to their pupils about work, uploaded daily photos and challenged the children with a "Whose desk is this?"
Miss Brown has uploaded photos to the website sending messages to her Early Years pupils from Brown Bear.
Teachers are responding to work sent to their email addresses to maintain communication with their pupils.
Landscore is still providing care for the children of key workers, and these children have been painting water colour pictures of the school grounds, feeding the animals, doing PE in the sun, carrying out the scavenger hunt challenge and even washing cars!
