IT MAY have been the weather, some were on holiday, one or two were ill, so several of the regulars at Crediton Farmers’ Market were missing from the second market in February.
However, with the next market being on March 5, the day before Mother’s Day, it is hoped that everyone will be back, the weather will be kinder and not leave stallholders having to hang on to their stalls to stop the wind having a Mary Poppins effect.
Plans are being laid for that market. With spring in the offing, the clocks change at the end of March, Mother’s Day should be more than a bit special at the market.
A prize cake is planned, Jo McCade of Jo Soaps is scheming, and it is probable there will be quite a number of “special offers” to look for. If it is wet, Jo is unlikely to be on her stall, the weather affects the soap.
