MORE than 80 local children have enjoyed going along to Crediton Congregational Church’s summer holiday club.

The three-day programme for primary school-aged children took place from Monday, August 3 to Wednesday, August 5.

This year’s theme was “Secret Agents”. Youngsters solved mysteries, sang songs, played games, listened to Bible stories and did arts and crafts.

Pastor James Gregory said: “[We’ve been] finding out about Jesus, who Jesus was, from stories from the Bible, figuring out if he's a friend, if he's good, that kind of thing.

“We've been doing lots of singing and dancing, lots of games, crafts and 'gunging' [pouring slime over] a leader each day.”

More than 20 volunteers helped organise and run the holiday club.
