THE management and staff at Hillbrow Care Home in Crediton are delighted to announce that, following their latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), they have been rated as “Outstanding” for care, the highest accolade awarded by the Commission.
The inspector spent two days at Hillbrow. During this time she met with residents, their families and staff.
This gave her plenty of time to really understand every aspect of the Home. She saw how everyone worked and lived together to create a very special place where both staff and residents are valued and encouraged.
The Care Manager, Mrs Sheila Gurr, commented that whilst we always receive wonderful feedback from appreciative residents and families it is very encouraging to have that confirmed by the Care Quality Commission.”
She added: “This must provide great reassurance to all those who are contemplating the idea of moving from their own home to Hillbrow.
“Equally all our lovely staff feel encouraged that their hard work and dedication has been recognised in this way.”
The challenge, as always, will be to maintain this high standard, but as Sheila added: “We will just carry on doing what we know best.
“Delivering the highest possible level of care to our residents”
