A CHERITON Fitzpaine business has been selected as one of the finalists in the Devon Tourism Awards.

The Orchard Retreat, run by Nick and Vicky Ritchens at East Forde Farm, is one of three finalists in the “glamping” category.

Vicky explained: “After being operational for only three seasons, we are so pleased to have been given such an amazing accolade.

“We look forward to receiving our gold, silver or bronze award at the ceremony in November.

“Nestled within four acres of apple orchard, our three 18ft yurts sleep up to four people, providing superiorly comfortable glamping whatever the weather.”

In addition, Vicky and Nick also have The Gallery, a beautifully converted old cattle house, which can also be used.

The New Inn at Roborough near Winkleigh is a finalist in the Tourism pub category.
