THE annual Shobrooke Harvest Festival was held at St Swithun’s Church in the village on Saturday, September 12.

Rev Sandra Collier opened the event with the blessing of the holy well, which was decorated again by Joy Moore and Fredérique Cooke.

There was a dog show, a live auction, a cooking competition, a raffle, a bar, a pop-up cafe, a variety of stalls, a chance to guess the weight of a giant pumpkin and more.

Stuffed animals were also sent down a zip-wire from the church tower in the afternoon in a fun local tradition.

The following day, Sunday, September 13, there was a harvest songs of praise service at the church.

The yearly festival raises money for the maintenance of the church.
