THE 16th annual Model Railway Exhibition run by the Culm Valley Model Railway Club will take place on Saturday, September 19 at Willand Village Hall (EX15 2PL) from 10am to 4pm.

There will be 14 layouts on display representing a range of scales, styles and eras to provide a wide variety of entertainment, most of which are new to Mid Devon with some going along from as far away as the London area.

There will also be a static display of real steam locos in the larger gauges.

Children will be able to drive the little blue engine Thomas and his friends at the event.

Additionally, there are also be two sales stands selling second hand model railway stock and books.

The ladies of the “station buffet” will be serving a wide variety of refreshments including hot and cold drinks, bacon baps, hot dogs, pasties, sandwiches and cakes.

Culm Valley Model Railway Club Secretary Peter Fosberry said: “This is a very popular event in the village for families and model rail enthusiasts alike, so we hope to see you there”.
