A COMPLETELY free mini music festival, featuring four highly experienced local bands, will be held at Buccaneer’s Bar, East Street, Crediton, on Saturday, July 16.

Wanted! Live! has been organised by the bands who are all good friends and are performing for free. They have been able to use the space at Buccaneers Bar also for free, so are able to put on the mini-festival just for the fun of it, with the aim for music fans to just go along and have a good time with no charge or collections for money.

“Far From the Delta”, a Crediton blues rock band, have been together for more than five years and is made up of musicians who have been previously in other bands. They perform covers and original songs and have an album Broken Blues and the track Honey Pot was selected for a compilation album called A Breath of Fresh Air which is on general release.

“Quorum”, a four piece alternative rock band from Okehampton, is made up partly by three quarters of the band “Downfall” who have been popular in Crediton. Quorum have just recorded a three track EP which will be available at the mini-festival.

“NosDonkey Presents”, play 80’s hits performed in a grunge style. This unique sounding band are all local, but located in different places but made up of former QE students and professional musicians. They have been busy working on new material recently.

“The Other Side”, one man with a guitar sat behind a drum kit, plays acoustic rock covers. He is a very experienced musician who spent many years playing in covers band “Reckless” and has played in many more.

There will also be food available through the hatch in the bar from the new business, East Town Café, which is located next door.
