ELEVEN brave souls raised around £2,000 for Crediton and District Lions Club by walking over hot coals in the Town Square on Saturday, March 28.

Host Scott Bell of UK Firewalk provided participants with training before the event began, and Lions Club President Ann Whitehouse lit the flames.

Each of the participants completed the feat at least twice, with some walking over the coals five or even six times. They were given certificates to mark their achievement.

The event was the second time the “firewalk” has been held. The first, in 2024, raised more than £5,000 for the Lions’ charitable activities.
