FAMILIES and friends flocked to Newcombes Meadow in Crediton last Saturday to enjoy a free family day provided by Crediton Congregational Church, one of the final CredFest events of this year.

Everything was free, even the barbecue. There was lots of good music which included the QE Jazz Band and the superb “Glorious Chorus”.

For the organisers Sarah Preece commented: “It was a pleasure to be part of the family fun day and I am so grateful to all of the people who gave their time, energy, talents and enthusiasm to make it so successful.

“The whole thing was put together by the churches in Crediton and our aim was simply to be a blessing to our local community by offering absolutely everything for free. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did!”
