THE 71st annual Cheriton Fitzpaine and District Ploughing and Produce Show, which will be held at Bidwell Barton, Thorverton, is firmly on the calendar for Sunday, September 18 and is looming fast.

Now with just weeks to go before the produce and craft show, the show committee would like to encourage new and existing people to enter exhibits in some of the wide range of classes.

There are classes suitable for both adults and children and many of them are not too taxing at all.

If you have hobbies such as baking, floristry, painting or just being creative and crafty then do take a look at the range of classes.

If you are good at handiwork, you could enter that and you may well win a prize.

There are some fruit and vegetable classes plus jam.

The top three winners of each class get a small monetary prize and for adults it is only 50p per entry but children’s class entries are all free to enter.

If you are not going to be around or able to get to Thorverton on the day then all entries can be dropped off at Crediton or near Shobrooke.

They can be taken along on the day and returned for collection later on Sunday, September 18.

Those who would like an entry form or further details can telephone the secretary, Mrs Julie Davie on 07791 347788 or email: [email protected] .
