11am – Kev F Sutherland, legendary comic book writer and caricature artist will be signing copies of his latest book, Richard The Third and drawing lightning-fast caricatures at The Bookery. Free event, no booking required.

12pm – Fourteenth annual Beer and Cider Festival, Crediton Rugby Club, Exhibition Road.

7.30pm – A Charity Cushion Concert, St Andrew’s Church, Sampford Courtenay, by the augmented church choir with director Roger Cleverdon and The Two Rivers Orchestra, conductor Richard Edwards, proceeds for Force Cancer Charity and Children’s Hospice SW, £15, students in full-time education £7.50, bring a cushion to sit on the wooden church chairs.

6pm – Crediton Town Council annual town meeting, Crediton Town Square. Formal meeting starts 6.30pm. Refreshments and presentations about various projects before and after formal meeting. Public participation during meeting, ask questions and make requests of the council.

10am – Talk about the life of Leonardo de Vinci, Boniface Centre, Crediton, with Crediton U3A, £2.

10am – “Jam Babies”, free creative play and music sessions for preschool children with their carers, at the Bookery in partnership with the Turning Tides Project.

12pm to 4.30pm – Sandford Millenium Green 25th Anniversary Big Picnic. Live music, games, bar, tea and cake. Wear green and bring flag, picnic, blanket and chairs. Old photos of green welcome. Free event. Parade beforehand 11.30am, assemble 11.15am in the square.
