SEVERAL Bonfire Night events and firework displays are coming up in the Crediton area.

In Crediton, a quiet sensory Bonfire Night event for people sensitive to noise will be held on Friday, November 7. “Fall for All” will take place from 4pm to 8pm at The Turning Tides Project’s community space off Four Mills Lane. There will be an open mic with local performers, a firework-inspired sensory trail, sensory bags, drinks and hot food including smores, jacket potatoes and chili. Dogs are welcome.

In Newton St Cyres, a charity fireworks display will be held at the recreation ground on Wednesday, November 5 in support of the school PTA. Gates open at 5pm with the fireworks display beginning at 6.30pm. Food, sweets, hot drinks and more will be available.

In Copplestone, there will be a torch-lit procession, bonfire and firework display on Saturday, November 8. The procession will gather at Copplestone Primary School at 6pm before setting off at 6.30pm, led by Morris dancers. Also at 6.30pm Copplestone Farm Shop’s gates will open. The bonfire will be lit at around 7.15pm, followed by the firework display. There will be a bar and food available. Entry costs £5 for adults, £3 for children (under-threes go free), £15 for a family of two adults and up to three children. Cash only for entry.

In Zeal Monachorum, the Waie Inn will host its annual firework display on Thursday, November 6. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the firework display will begin at 7.30pm. Entry costs £5 per person. Refreshments will be available outside.

In Cheriton Fitzpaine, there will be a bonfire and firework display on Saturday, November 1 in the field behind White Cross. The What3Words location is: frizzled.receiving.prevents. The gates will open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6pm, and the firework display will begin at 7pm. Entry costs £7 for adults and £4 for children (under-threes go free). There will be a hog roast, burgers and chips from Kenniford Farm, and coffee from Devon Coffee Cart - cash only.

In North Tawton, there will be a bonfire and firework display on Friday, October 31 at the rugby club. The gates will open at 7pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm, followed by the firework display. There will be a barbecue, and drinks will be available. Entry costs £6 for adults, £2 for children, £14 for a family of two adults and two children.

Near Cheriton Bishop, there will be a bonfire and firework display at Drakes Farm and Cafe, Higher Fingle Farm, EX6 6NP on Friday, November 7. Hosted by Cheriton and Tedburn Young Farmers Club, the gates will open at 7pm and the firework display will begin at 7.45pm. Entry costs £5 per person and under-10s go free.
