A CHARITY photography exhibition is set to be held at a Crediton dog-grooming salon.

Pet photographer Fiona Crawford will show off 10 large-format portraits of Devon dogs she snapped for a book called “Tails of the World” in aid of RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter.

The free event will be held at Mucky Mutts on Crediton High Street on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 from 11am to 3pm. Dogs are welcome on leads.

Tails of the World, which has become an annual publication, features this year as many as 675 animals. Each of the 62 photographers who took part chose a local animal charity to support.

Ms Crawford has raised as much as £947 for her chosen charity, the RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter, which is located on the outskirts of Exeter and rescues and rehomes animals in Devon.

“I am absolutely thrilled to showcase the 10 wonderful dogs and the stories behind each photograph,” she said.

“This exhibition is a chance for our community to come together, celebrate our pets, and support the incredible work of Little Valley.

“It has been such a pleasure working with the owners and helping to raise money for animals in need.”

Visitors to the Crediton exhibition will have the opportunity to meet Ms Crawford, hear the stories behind each portrait, and support Little Valley Animal Shelter’s fundraising efforts.

“Supporting the RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter and celebrating so many wonderful Devon dogs is a real treat for us and our customers,” said Mucky Mutts Owner Jo Priddle.

Little Valley Animal Shelter Fundraising Manager Hayley Hukku added: “The money raised will make a real difference to the animals we care for, and we are so grateful to Fiona, the dog owners, and the team at Mucky Mutts for their support.”
