7pm - Music for a Summer’s Evening, St Swithun’s Church, Sandford, with Nigel and Tina Guthrie on flute, piano, organ and voice, in aid of the churchyard path fund, tickets £8 from Sandford Stores, Jean Hope, Linda Bennet-Smith or at the door, light refreshments available for a £5 donation.

7.15pm - for 7.30pm start. Nigel Browne will present "Charles Bailey, surveyor and musician”, Bow Village Hall EX17 5HU. BDHS members and under 18's free, visitors £4. Tea, coffee and biscuits afterwards. Everyone welcome.

10am to 11.30am - Crediton and Area Vintage Farmers Group, Exe Valley Farm Shop Cafe, Thorverton, for retired or semi-retired members of the farming community, new members welcome.

7pm to 8pm - Crediton RFC Women's Rugby - Are you interested in trying rugby? BBQ and meet the team at Crediton RFC.

10am to 1pm - Making your Garden a Haven for Nature at the Sustainabubble (Council Offices in the Market Square). Go along and see how you can provide simple shelters using recycled and sustainable materials.

10am to 12 noon - Spreyton’s Farmers Market and Big Breakfast, Village Hall, stalls, refreshments, full English breakfasts, takeaways available.

11am to 4pm - The Turning Tides Festival: The Four Dragons of Four Mills, Four Mills Lane Garden, all welcome for a magical day of music, stories, workshops and community fun – all led by the four legendary dragons of Four Mills: In partnership with Crediton Arts Centre and Heart of Crediton.

12 noon - Morchard Bishop Vintage Rally and Family Fun Day, The Playing Field, Wood Lane, vintage vehicles, craft stalls, ferret racing, barbecue, inflatables, bar, refreshments, adults £2, children 50p, in aid of Playing Field Funds.

2pm to 5pm - Open Garden, Efford House, Efford, Shobrooke, EX17 1BJ for Hospiscare, walks, live music, Pimms and ice creams, admission by donation, dogs on leads welcome, much of it is wheelchair accessible, all welcome.

To August 9 - Crediton Heart Project Summer Arts Festival, workshops, films, music, outdoor cinema, arts in the park.

2.30pm to 5pm - Open Gardens at The Nunns House and The Willows, Cheriton Fitzpaine, EX17 4JH. Cream Teas available. Donations for the St. John Eye Hospitals in Jerusalem and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

TUESDAY 5

7pm to 9pm - Crediton British Sign Language taster sessions, deaf awareness and introduction to BSL, Crediton Congregational Church, and August 12, 19 and 26, please attend all four sessions, numbers limited to 12, booking essential with Lesley Rogers, text 07704 367284, free but a donation to Crediton BSL would be welcomed.

FRIDAY 22

6pm to 7pm - Women's Rugby World Cup (RWC) celebrations - Crediton RFC Women and Girls' welcome any females interested in trying rugby, to Crediton RFC, to a non-contact session, followed by BBQ and watch England Women v USA Women game on the TV in the clubhouse after.
