CREDITON bookshop The Bookery will welcome author C. M. Ewan in conversation with Tina Orr Munro on Wednesday, April 1 from 7pm.
Join us for an evening of high-tension crime fiction as C. M. Ewan, one of Britain’s most accomplished thriller writers, comes to The Bookery to discuss his latest novel, Eye Spy. He will be joined in conversation by Tina Orr Munro, crime writer, former journalist and friend of The Bookery.
In Eye Spy, C. M. Ewan delivers a razor-sharp, high-stakes thriller set aboard a fast-moving train from Paris to London.
When a four-year-old girl identifies a fellow passenger as a ‘Bad Man’ during a game of I Spy, her father is drawn into a terrifying race against time.
Things only get worse when Mark realises the man is on their train, carrying a suspicious suitcase and sitting ominously close.
Confined to the carriage and unable to escape, Mark must piece together a growing web of danger as secrets from the past begin to unravel, in a desperate attempt to save his family.
Set over just three hours, Eye Spy is a claustrophobic, emotionally charged thriller that explores how far we would go — and what we would risk — to protect the people we love.
C. M. Ewan will be in conversation with Tina Orr Munro, a former Police Scenes of Crime Officer who retrained as a journalist and specialised in writing about policing and crime.
This event forms part of The Bookery’s programme of author talks and cultural events and reflects the bookshop’s proud support for the National Year of Reading. The evening will include audience questions, followed by a book signing, with copies of Eye Spy available to purchase on the night.
Tickets are £6, available from The Bookery or online: www.thebookery.org.uk.
