THIS summer, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is bringing back its much-loved “Brick Explorers”, this year in collaboration with Iconic Bricks and reimagined for 2026 with its most ambitious programme to date.
There will be immersive wildlife trails featuring intricately hand-crafted brick creations and hands-on building activities at its gardens, including RHS Rosemoor near Great Torrington.
Running from Saturday, July 11 until August 31, the event brings the RHS' 2026 theme, “Bringing Nature Home”, to life through interactive experiences inspired by the natural world.
Visitors can follow a family trail to uncover 10 “wildlife superheroes”, learning about the unique abilities and behaviours that help different species survive and thrive. Using an accompanying activity booklet, there is the chance to collect superhero “superpowers” whilst exploring the gardens, discovering how plants, fungi, and animals are connected within natural ecosystems.
Alongside the trail, each RHS Garden will host brick building activities throughout the summer, giving visitors the chance to create their own nature-inspired builds and imaginative green spaces.
Elin Simonsson, Head of Public Engagement at the RHS, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing a new Brick Sculpture trail to all five RHS Gardens this summer on a bigger and better scale offering an experience that is both engaging and educational.
“The brick sculptures act as building blocks for discovery, encouraging children to explore, notice the hidden connections in nature, and have fun while learning about the wildlife that shares our gardens.”
The RHS is proud to be supporting the Great British Summer Savings campaign enabling families to enjoy a day out in nature this summer for less with savings on RHS Garden admissions and lower prices on children’s meals in all RHS Cafes and restaurants.
The trail is included with standard garden admission. Children aged 5–16 start from £5.25, adults start from £13.75.
Tickets must be booked online: RHS website.
