CREDITON Town Council and the Crediton branch of the Royal British Legion would like to add names to the Crediton and Hamlets War Memorial of those who have lost their lives on operational service since 1945.

The War Memorial, situated off Union Road, is Grade II Listed.

It is an open sided shelter with a tiled roof with a tiled steeple, the central stone octagonal contains the names of those who died carved on the eight faces.

There are 136 names for the First World War, 40 for the Second World War, and one for Aden.
