A GOOD crowd of people were gathered at Crediton War Memorial on Union Road to watch the parade from the parish church after the Remembrance Sunday service was held there.

Wreaths were laid by junior and senior representatives of Crediton organisations, including Crediton Town Council, Crediton Hamlets Parish Council, the parish church, school, Rotary Clubs and Lions Club, as well as individual posies of poppies laid after the official ceremonies.

From the War Memorial, again led by Crediton Town Band, the parade moved off to Market Street where the salute was taken by Charlie Haydon, president Crediton branch Royal British Legion, with Crediton Mayor Cllr Frank Letch and the Mayor's Cadet, Crediton ACF Detachment member Sgt Maj Ben Pincombe of Chulmleigh.

Parade Marshall was Sgt Maj Darren Kelly, second in command of Crediton Detachment ACF. Lt Paul Sword is the commander.
