CREDITON Police issued two warnings on Tuesday, April 11.
Police said: “When approached they said they said they were looking for scrap and would pay.
“It is believed that both males are late 20’s or early 30’s and were driving a white scruffy high-top Transit-style white van.
“It was unknown in which direction they left and no items were reported stolen. Please be vigilant!”
BUSINESS OWNERS WARNED
Crediton business owners and shopkeepers were also warned that forged Scottish £20 notes had been used to purchase items in retail outlets in Crediton on Friday, April 7.
Again, there was a warning issued for vigilance.
