LIONS serve local communities at home and around the world. This is often done through the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

LCIF is Lions own worldwide charity and on Sunday, August 22, Crediton Lions have organised a Garden Party at the home of past President Peter Bryan in support of LCIF.

Readers are welcome to go along to Chilton House, Threshers, any time between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday.

Lion President Hazel requests your company at her first fundraiser.

Hazel said: “Opportunities to fundraise have been almost non-existent in the recent years and we hope that you will come along, meet the Lions and have an enjoyable afternoon in relaxing surroundings.”

There will be various stalls from craft, plants, books and bring and buy opportunities. Take a cream tea and relax with friends and explore the interesting garden bordered by the Chidden brook.

Visitors will be able to park in Chiddenbrook Surgery car park, by kind permission of the surgery.

Turn right and walk the short distance to Chilton House, which is on the left hand side. There will be signs for you to follow.

For those of you with Sat nav the Postcode is EX17 3PB, and those familiar with What3words , the location is “Grasp;Enter;Grazes”.

Crediton Lions look forward to seeing you there. It is free entry, but donations will be welcome.
