VISITORS to Crediton Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 19 were invited to visit the Lions Club of Crediton stall and make donations of used, new or surplus bras into a bra bank.

The public was asked to give the bras a new lease of life - raising vital funds for research into secondary spread breast cancer.

Anne Whitehouse, Lions Club President, said: “Thank you Crediton folk for coming to visit us at the Farmers' Market and for bringing all your unwanted specs, used hearing aid batteries and bras!

“We collected a 15lb bag of bras, 106 pairs of specs and 0.7kg of batteries.

“You can continue to donate all these goods to Lions using the collection boxes near the entrance of Redlands Surgery.”
