CREDITON Foodbank has received a donation of £327, thanks to Hayward’s School Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
In June the PTA organised sponsored walks and cycle rides in aid of both the PTA and the Foodbank.
Emma Heard, chair, Hayward’s School PTA, said that the PTA and Foodbank each received £327, adding that the Foodbank was chosen to say thank you for the support it had given to children and families from the school when it was needed.
She thanked all those who took part in the fundraiser.
Chris Parsons, Crediton Foodbank Co-Ordinator, said that the service is currently experiencing a high need for food items, adding that all donations would be very welcome.
