SCORES of people enjoyed going along to the biggest Crediton Food and Drink Festival yet on Saturday, July 12.

Founded in 2009, this year’s free event featured as many as 40 stalls selling a wide variety of local fare in the Town Square, Market Street and Parliament Street.

There were demonstrations throughout the day on cider and cheese pairing, saving energy while cooking, making lentil curry, soups, sorbets and more.

Children enjoyed visiting “Uncle Tacko’s Imaginarium” showman’s booth, watching Punch and Judy shows, seeing chefs walking around on stilts, and making “foodie jewellery” with Crediton Youth Service.

The festival was funded by Crediton Town Council and Crediton Chamber of Commerce. It was sponsored by Ashgrove Kitchens.
