THE Clifford Gardens community in Crediton recently turned out to wish resident Pam Dobson a Happy Birthday and to show their appreciation for all her hard work in organising competitions and quizzes for them during the lockdown.

Keeping to social distancing guidelines, the residents stood in one of the car parking areas and some held a Happy Birthday banner, while they all sang “Happy Birthday” to Pam.

During the lockdown Pam has supported residents by organising lots of activities including competitions such as making an Easter card, growing a sunflower, home-made jigsaws and a number of quizzes for residents to do in their own homes.

On St George’s Day (Thursday, April 23) she gifted everyone a red rose.

Court Manager, Ginny King, said: “As a court everyone has come out to wish Pam a Happy Birthday and to say ‘thank you’.

“Since the beginning of the lockdown Pam has been very pro-active and has organised lots of competitions and quizzes for the other tenants.

“Today was about showing our appreciation for all she has done – it has made such a difference to everyone especially those who have been shielding and have felt very isolated.

“Pam also keeps the court shop stocked up with items - she has even managed to source toilet rolls and flour during the lockdown!

“The tenants and Housing 21 really appreciate the amazing job she does.”
