Wednesday, August 3 – two triples 'A' v Madeira 'A' (home) every little helps – but will the seven points taken from high flying Madeira 'A' be enough to help save Crediton 'A' team from relegation – L Parker drew 16-16 and G Newbery won 21-17 – Crediton won by 37-33 shots – points 7-1.

Two triples 'B' v Axminster (home) P Evans won 22-12 and A Hopper won 18-15. Crediton won by 40-27 shots – points 8-0.

FOXLAND TROPHY

Friday, August 5 – two men's rinks v Shaldon – Crediton lost in the quarter final of the 'Foxland' to Shaldon who are one of the strongest men's bowling teams in Devon – the game was played on a one rink home and one rink away bases – I Bond (h) lost 15-19 and S Stevens (a) lost 11-29 – Crediton lost by 26-48 shots.

MEN'S CLUB PAIRS FINAL

Sunday, August 14 – Terry Chamberlain & Shane Boddy have won the men's Club Pairs – they defeated Trevor Newbery and Phillip Milford by 21-16 shots in an excellent final.

BOWLS DEVON

Sunday, August 7 – Peter Martin, Terry Chamberlain, Andrew Milford and Shane Boddy were members of a Bowls Devon team that lost to Dorset in a South West League game – the match was played at Bridport Bowling Club.

Sunday, August 8 – Larry Parker and John Abbott were members of the Area Section Four team that lost to Area Section Seven (Plymouth) in the semi-final of the Coronation Cup by 96-127 shots – their rink drew 19-19. The game was played at the Barnstaple Bowls Club.
