THE Mayor of Crediton, Cllr Frank Letch, performed to official opening of Copplestone’s first Flower and Produce Show since 1990 on Saturday, September 10, which was declared a great success.
The show, which had a lovely atmosphere, was organised by Iris Middleton.
The top winners all received certificates and prizes which were presented by Devon County Councillor Nick Way.
Results were: Sweet Peas Caroline Romijn, Dahlias Sally Endacott-Phillips, Mixed Flower Arrangement Vicki Smale, Root Vegetables David Brassington, Runner Beans John Mason, Beetroot John Kitchen, French Beans Dawn Anderson, Tomatoes (regular) John Kitchen, Cherry Tomatoes, Sally Endacott-Phillips, Onions John Mason, OddBall vegetables Isaac Olsson, Jams Linda Jayes, Chutneys Sally Endacott-Phillips and Victoria Sponge Suzanne Lunn.

The judges were Lynne and Freda Connibear, David Brassington, Andrew Drayton, Phyllis Edwards, Peter Cole, Derek Smith, Anna and Lynette Davidson, John Middleton, Glenn Bearne and John Mason.
