THE recent Fifth Charity Clayshoot at Higher Chilverton Farm, Coldridge, was another big success despite the weather and raised about £900 for Coldridge Village Hall funds.

Andrew Green, host, said: "We would like to thank the small army of people who supported us on the day and made it all happen.

"Without their support it would just not happen. We would also like to thank the local traders and businesses who gave prizes and also the local farmers and landowners who made generous donations.

"We are particularly indebted to Dave and Marion Turner for all their guidance and inspiration – a very big thank you to you all!

"We would also like to thank everyone who came along and took part and we hope that they had an enjoyable day."

The Open Class winners were 1 J Cook, 2 A Heard, 3 J Pearcey. The Novice Class winners were 1 L Waterman, 2 G Webber, 3 A Wonnacott.

Mr Green added: "Finally, please save the date for next year which will be Bank Holiday Monday, May 1, 2017."
