A FESTIVE motorbike cavalcade with a special difference will take place just a couple of weeks before Christmas this year – and YOU could be part of it.
The riders will be delivering Christmas toys to youngsters with life-limiting illnesses at the Children’s Hospice South West, near Fremington, North Devon.
Volunteers are wanted to arm themselves with a Santa suit, decorate their motorbikes with some tinsel or antlers and join the Exeter-based Motorbike Rides group for a ride to remember.
This is the second Exeter Santa Ride, the first one last year was very memorable with more than a hundred bikers all turning out in fancy dress!
The festive ride will take place on Sunday, December 6, meeting at Exeter Junction 30 Moto Services at 10.30am.
The trail of Santas on two wheels (or three for trikes!) will ride to Little Bridge House, South West Children’s Hospice. They have arranged to get there after lunch so that the children can come out and see all the motorbikes and meet the biking Santas.
Bookings for those who wish to take part must be made by November 18.
Places are £5 per person, with the majority of the money being used to buy Christmas toys that will be transported alongside the bikes to the hospice.
The rest is being used as a donation to a cafe for a buffet on the way back. The hospice will accept any extra donations you may want to give on the day.
Already signed up to take part are 70 bikers from Exeter, Exmouth, Crediton, Torquay and Teignmouth.
