CUT, Crediton Urban Taskforce, volunteers, Town Councillors Tim Stanford and Rachel Backhouse and Crediton Army Cadet Charlotte Iley, spent several hours clearing weeds and tidying pavements near Crediton War Memorial before Remembrance.

A big shout out also went to The Turning Tides Project for cleaning up the immediate area around the War Memorial.

A number of shops decorated their windows especially for Remembrance, of note were Bud2blooms, Karen Gutans Art and Crafts and A E Lee (Outfitters).

The Rev Jeremy Putnam led the Act of Remembrance at Sandford Square.

A well-attended service was held at St Swithun’s Church, Sandford, followed by an Act of Remembrance in Sandford Square on Sunday, November 9.

Coldridge saw 320 knitted and crocheted poppies adorn a tree in the village square, courtesy of the village Knit and Natter Group.
