THE Best Dressed Shop Window in Crediton this Christmas in the “Crediton Courier” competition, was the window display created by A E Lee (Outfitters).

Simon Lee and his staff created a splendid display featuring a nativity scene amidst some of the clothes on sale, also including snowmen, tinsel, a Father Christmas and other Christmas decorations.

It was the public who voted for the best shop or business window displays this year, "Crediton Courier" readers having returned the voting forms.

The A E Lee (Outfitters) window received the most votes.

The Rosebowl for the Best Dressed Window was presented by Alan Quick, Editorial Manager at the “Crediton Courier”.

Second prize went to the display at Evans Newsagents which included knitted items from the Knit and Natter group and pictures from children from Leapfrogs Nursery.

In third place was the display in the window of Crediton Pharmacy, which included a lit Christmas tree and snow scene.

Highly Commended and in fourth place were Grape and Grain wine merchants and Folk2Folk/Bedford and Co.

Certificates were presented to all of the businesses with the best windows.

Prizes, to third place, were presented. These included vouchers for Boka, Crediton Community Bookshop, The Green House, Divine Flowers, Grape and Grain, Crediton Coffee Company, Four Seasons, Kitchen@25 and Revive Beauty and Hair.

The competition was sponsored this year by Crediton Town Council to support Crediton businesses.
