THE Crediton Greensword Majorettes held an open evening for parents, guests and friends to welcome the new season.
Trainer, Helen Cann, said it would be a busy season, with the troupe competing in eight competitions.
The first competition was held in Exeter on March 1 and a recent fundraiser was a cake stall in Crediton High Street.
On March 15 the troupe will compete at Willand and on April 4 and 5 at the Creative Furniture Open Days in Crediton.
On April 9, from 6pm, it is the Easter Draw and the girls have been busy selling tickets at 50p per square.
On April 26 the Greensword Majorettes host their own competition at QECC Lower School.
On May 23 the troupe will perform in Crediton Town Square as part of the Crediton Festival 2009.
The troupe will compete for the first time this year in Junior Military and thanks have been expressed to Messrs Wreford of Le Roy Funeral Service who have provided sponsorship.
