FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman from a car that had flipped onto its roof in Tiverton on Sunday, December 7.

The fire service was called to the scene just before 10am. Only one vehicle was involved.

Fire crews, working alongside paramedics and police officers, used road collision and stabilising equipment to safely get the trapped woman out.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of her injuries is not known.

Firefighters from Bampton and Tiverton were involved in the incident.
