UP to 9,000 students from the University of Exeter are due to attend an event at Shobrooke Park, near Crediton, on Saturday, May 30.
There will be 50 double decker buses and coaches and a similar number of taxis transporting the students to and from the event, The Enchanted Garden Ball, which is scheduled to begin at 5pm and end at 2.30am on Sunday, May 31.
There is a one-way traffic system operating on roads around Shobrooke Park but two-way on the A3072 between Crediton and Cheriton Fitzpaine.
Motorists are advised to be aware of the traffic situation and pinch points, especially where some students are walking along the roads where there are no pavements.
The coaches and taxis are working as shuttles throughout the evening.

The Enchanted Garden Ball is the Official Summer Ball for Exeter University students.
It is organised by The Enchanted Group of Thame, Oxford.
The Group’s website states: “The Enchanted Garden Ball has become Exeter University’s defining summer celebration.
“Since its first edition in 2011, the event has grown year on year, consistently selling out and earning its place as the most anticipated night in the student calendar. Now, 14 years on, we are proud to present the next chapter - EGB26.
“Known for its immersive landscape of carefully crafted spaces, from elegant hideaways to bold, playful venues, EGB is an evening designed to be explored. Each edition builds on the last, and EGB26 continues that tradition with new installations, original environments and a soundtrack curated to carry you from dusk into the early hours.
“On Saturday, May 30, the gates of our woodland amphitheatre open once again. With a dress code of Wonderfully Formal, the Ball marks the close of term and the start of summer - a shared moment of celebration before everyone sets off on their next adventure.
“Expect music, atmosphere, surprise and detail at every turn. EGB26 is not just an event, but an experience - one long remembered after the final song fades.”
The Group explained that it has employed a noise management company which will be visiting various “noise sensitive” locations as indentified in the noise management plan and those specified in the premises license, which was approved by Mid Devon District Council.
If anyone has complaints concerning noise, they can contact Event Control on 07921 214421, which will be active from noon until 3am on the event day.
