CREDITON Lions President Hazel Evely welcomed 41 guests at the 45th Annual Charter evening held at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Saturday, March 12.
Hazel welcomed Past District Governor David Fitzpatrick and his wife Liz and Lions from other clubs, Tiverton, Exeter, Exeter West and Honiton as well as from Crediton and District Lions Club.
Lion Eric Parkes, who has been a longstanding member for 45 years and has attended every one of the Crediton Lions Charter events, was toastmaster for the dinner.
The Grace was given by Lion Jo Byford and Lion President Hazel Evely gave the Loyal Toast and to Lions Clubs International.
The Response was by Past District Governor David Fitzpatrick.
Lion Eric Parkes gave the toast to Partners and Guests and the Response was by Mr Paul Callow.
A splendid dinner was enjoyed.
Crediton and District Lions Club recently changed its meeting venue to the Age Concern Centre in Deep Lane.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm.
