A TOTAL of 40 shoe boxes filled with gifts were taken to Crediton Methodist Church and during a service taken by Rev Ann Varker were taken to the front of the church by Evie and Matthew Harris and John and Peter Turner.

The boxes will be distributed by International Aid Trust to India, Cuba, Mexico, Eastern Europe and Sierra Leone.

During the service the congregation saw photographs of shoe boxes being distributed to needy families in Tirana and India as well as refugees in Albania, Ukraine and Lancashire UK.

A large shipping container has already been sent by International Aid Trust containing clothes, dry goods and some 33,756 painkillers, a large quantity of which were donated by Crediton Methodist Church.
