THE 1st Crediton Scout Group postal service for Christmas cards this year within Crediton town and the villages of Newton St Cyres and Copplestone has already begun.

Stamps cost 40p each or three for £1, and last posting for cards will be Wednesday, December 13.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will deliver the cards between December 16 and 18.

People can purchase the Scout stamps and post their cards at the Crediton Courier office, Crediton Congregational Church, CJ Interiors (where Evans Newsagents used to be), Age Concern Centre, Quicke’s Farm Shop and Copplestone Farm Shop.

Please note these venues will only be able to accept cash and it is helpful if you have the correct change.

Alternatively, stamps can be purchased from any of the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and leaders.

There are also post boxes (but no stamps) at Morrisons and Tesco (Wellparks), and under the Scouts tree at the Christmas Tree Festival.

The Scouts are really grateful to all of these venues for their support.

Any elderly/housebound local resident who would like the Scouts to collect post from their home, or if anyone has any queries, please email Helen, Beaver Leader/joint Group Scout Leader, 1st Crediton Scout Group using: [email protected] .
