New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Mid Devon’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

The Beer Engine, a pub, bar or nightclub at Newton St Cyres, Devon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 18.

And The Ark, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Lapford Stores, Lapford, Devon was also given a score of five on December 19.
