A SPECIAL Remembrance Service will be held at St Peter’s Church, Zeal Monachorum, tomorrow, Sunday, November 13, beginning at 6.30pm.

During the service there will be a special Memorial Act for the 18 from the parish who lost their lives in World War One and Joseph Brealy who returned from the war but later died of his wounds.

They are remembered on the parish War Memorial, which is the Church Pulpit within the church.

The names of those who will be remembered, in addition to Joseph Brealy are Fred and Sidney Braund, Reginald Burrow, Arthur Fry, Albert James, Jack Mann, Charles Martin, George Martin, Rees Morgan, Albert Pike, Arthur Shortridge, George Smith, James Smith, Jack Stentiford, Vyvyan Webber, Ernest Waldron, Morgan Walters and Jack Warden.

Details about each of those named, from a history collated by Erica Eden, will be read during the service, which will be led by the Rev Lindsey Starrs.

The evening will be followed by a chance for people to view some books, photographs and artefacts and all are invited to attend.
