THIS month will be the 25th Anniversary of the Mid Devon Farming Life Group.

This will be celebrated with a Celebration Meal to be held at The Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum, on Wednesday, March 25, 6.45 for 7pm.

Guest speaker will be Dan Downs, the BBC TV Weatherman.

This will be a ticket only event, tickets to be purchased in advance from myself, Ruth Friend on 07871 273018 or Sarah Chown on 07855 829972.

Our February meeting was a talk given by Richard Drake from Curworthy Cheese, Stockbeare Farm, Jacobstowe.

Richard talked about the history of the business and how they still make cheese the traditional way using local milk and talked us through the different stages that goes into making cheese.

Tasters were on offer to try all the different flavours.

They do approximately 17 different cheeses including sheep and goat cheese.

Their cheese can be bought at local outlets, markets and farm shops.

It was a very informative evening enjoyed by all with a very good attendance.
