BATTING first on a sunny evening Spreyton lost two early wickets from the bowling of D Uren and A Coren. They soon recovered with some big hitting from J Wright, before retiring with the score on 42 off five overs.

Spreyton continued to score quickly through the batting of Jake Griffiths and C Filor before retiring with the score on 93 and with 100 coming in on the 12th over they looked on for a good total.

Yeoford then took Spreyton's last six wickets for 19 runs, with some good catches from the Yeoford fielders and from the bowling of C Collins and J Misselbrook, Spreyton were all out with five balls remaining.

Yeoford got off to a flying start with the 50 coming up in the fifth over before J Misselbrook retired.

They continued to score quickly with J Saunders and M Leach bringing up the 100 in the 10th over before retiring.

Yeoford kept scoring quickly with L Coren and P Coren. Needing 14 off five overs to win, Yeoford looked well on target, but with the loss of two wickets they started to stumble and the runs dried up with some tight bowling.

Needing three off the last over Yeoford lost another wicket and finally scored the winning runs with two balls remaining in an exciting game.

Belstone 91-5: S Tremain 28ret, R Dennis 26ret; A Coren 1-11, C Stanbury 1-17, C Collins 1-9, J Misselbrook 1-8.

On a damp evening at Belstone, Yeoford lost two early wickets from the bowling of D Fogerty.

With the score at 16 for two, M Leach and R Davenport came together and rebuilt the innings, putting on 50 runs with some patient batting and big hitting before retiring.

Yeoford continued to keep the score ticking over through P Coren and L Coren. With the loss of three wickets they ended their innings on a difficult batting wicket on 104 for five.

Yeoford's bowlers A Coren and D Uren frustrated the Belstone batsmen with good tight bowling, supported by good fielding.

Yeoford continued to bowl tight and despite some big hitting from R Dennis to take Belstone past 50 in the 14th over Belstone were still behind the run rate.

Belstone, needing 33 off the last four overs, were kept down to just 19 runs from the bowling of C Collins and J Misselbrook and picking a further two wickets Belstone fell 14 runs short of the target.
