THE mid-week stableford winner at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Wednesday, May 10, was Jordan Dyer who scored 31 points.

Downes ladies played in the annual spring meeting on Thursday, May 11 and despite the wet conditions it was ladies captain Rebecca Aven who came out on top, with a score of nett 84, to take the best nett.

Lyn Parry scored a gross 102 to take the best scratch prize. 

In the nine-hole competition it was Sue Bonner who scored a nett 47 to take top spot and Annet Coles scored a nett 47, but lost out to a better back nine. 

The winner of the nine-hole Thursday stableford was Liam Whittleston who scored 18 points.

Finally there was some sunshine at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Saturday, May 13, for the May medal and Chairman’s Cup which was won by Wayne Moore who took home this year’s trophy and the Division Three prize with a nett score of 70. 

In Division Two it was Matt Slee who scored a nett 72 to take the prize and finally in Division One it Phillip Dyer who scored a nett 74 to claim the prize.
