HEAVIEST catch of last week at Creedy Lakes, Crediton, of 23lbs 8oz came amid the largest bag of the week - 30 fish.

This tremendous result came from Lapford angler Richard Tierney who fished from the left hand bank and his top four catches were all 20 pounders (21lbs , 20lbs 8oz and 20lbs).

On another session Richard banked 17 fish (14 mid figure doubles, a pair of upper doubles, topped by a 20lbs common along with best mirror out for the week of 16lbs).

Richard also had a third session and banked 15 fish with 13 mid double figures together with a 22lbs 12oz and a 20lbs 8oz.

Richard's excellent fishing form seems incomparable just at the moment.

The other amazing bag of 23 fish was recorded by Darren of Exeter.  His fish included three x 20 pounders, the best of 21lbs 5oz, along with 19 double figures, all commons up to 19lbs 8oz and one single figure common.

Fairly new to carping, Ian Clarke settled on to the right hand bank at Creedy and certainly hooked more than he had expected during a session last week.

The North Devon angler banked his lovely looking deep bodied common carp which tipped the scales to 22lbs 6oz giving him a new personal best catch and the one to beat.
